From the Hills of Međimurje, Northern Croatia – To a Unique Sparkling Wine
At our family-run winery in Međimurje – a scenic wine-growing region in northern Croatia, producing sparkling wine is a slow and thoughtful process. Every bottle takes nearly two years to craft, from the initial blend of organic red grape varieties to the final stages of aging on the lees in our underground cellar.
We work in small batches, using the traditional method and plenty of hands-on care. Our sparkling wines are not industrial products – they are artisanal Croatian wines, deeply rooted in the soil, climate, and people of Međimurje.
Manual Work, Real Practice & Wines with Soul
The process of crafting our sparkling wines from Croatia involves dozens of manual steps: riddling each bottle by hand, controlling natural pressure, watching for clarity — always with patience and attention.
We filmed a short documentary from our cellar and workshop, where “DIY” means do the real work yourself. 😊
No marketing gimmicks, no pseudo-science. Just real winemaking — on the ground, in the cellar, with our sleeves rolled up.
Simple. Honest. And Whenever Possible – Unique.
We believe in organic and sustainable wine production, respecting the natural rhythm of fermentation and bottle aging. The wine guides us — not the other way around.
Each bottle is carefully monitored. If the pressure falls below 3 bars, it’s no longer sparkling wine; if it goes too high, it may explode. But between 5 and 6 bars — that’s when the wine truly sparkles.
