Sustainable viticulture
Winery with more vivid and almost
tangible breath of tradition and history, is located at the very top of St.
Urban, with a magnificent view of tens kilometres away, and traditionally
furnished business facilities, all under the treetop of two old plane trees
that with its size figure as a landmark passers that explore this landscape.
Unlike tradition that nurture in the winery, vineyards are an expression of
completely modern approach and indicate that this family knows what they are
doing. Dense planting, short cuts, small yields, grassy areas, and with fairly
steep slopes which provide the necessary insolation, these vineyards provide
the grapes of the best possible quality. That in the end, of course, is clearly
reflected on the wines. Tasting place where you'll probably spend most of the
time is a special attraction. Small wooden house, masterpiece, made from
parts of the old presses, barrel staves and other pieces of traditional cellar
inventory, is a real small family museum.
A meticulous care of every detail
and the valuable work are visible on the quality of wines that faithfully interpret
the personality of Lovrec family. These are the rich and powerful wines that
have a different style from the other wines of Međimurje, because acid is
always well tamed and moderate, with little bit higher percentage of alcohol.
The wines are very stable and capable of aging. They come in two key
categories: as high predicates and regular - semi-dry and dry wines. Excellent
predicates can be measured with their style and quality with the best Alsatian
Pinot Gris and dry and semi-dry wines are fantastic expression of personality
of senior and junior Lovrec, who do not care about trends, but pushing their
truth through very rich, soft, delicious, sometimes sweet and strong wines made
in harmony with nature. Sustainable viticulture and enology on the way
of Lovrec family.
