In early autumn, the Days of the Eco Vineyards for the winegrowing region of Hilly Croatia took place in our area. The organization was taken over by the company Andermatt Bioinput and its dynamic director Martina Borić, who gathered environmentally conscious winemakers and producers of eco-food as business partners.
The purpose of the meeting was to exchange experiences in this exceptionally demanding winegrowing year. The host, Krešimir Lovrec, welcomed the participants, and then Mr. Milorad Šubić from the Advisory Service in Čakovec took the floor. In his comprehensive and informative address, with the approval of the eco-producers, he emphasized in the end that there is no alternative to ecology despite some resistance and disbelief. This is what Europe demands from all its members, and we will have to adapt.
With the support of those present, they set out to inspect the vineyards and assess the current situation in view of the climatic adversities this year. Fortunately, despite that, the grapes remained well-preserved with additional efforts and will result in fine sweet wine, as stated by representatives of the relevant organizations and producers.
After the field tour, a top-notch eco-gastronomic and wine refreshment followed. Mrs. Andreja Petrović from the Andreja Petrović Family Farm was responsible for exceptional culinary delights, while the host Krešimir Lovrec took care of the wine part, creating a pleasant atmosphere and socializing with a short film projection about this year’s first grape harvest in the young vineyard.
A big thank to everyone for their participation and support!
